Fitzpatrick's long-term photographic art projects, primarly undertaken in the Middle East, incorporate images left abondoned after conflict. They show an accumulation of detritus that hint at stories and atmostpheric presences. Previous subjects includes the island of Failaka in the Persian Gulf, ans poste-Gulf War Kuwait. Following a residency at the Palestinian Al Qattan Foundation, she is currently working on a projectin Ramallah on the West Bank. Fizpatrick has built up a substantial body of work that exists in the dualistic sens as both personal art statemement and histrorical archive of the times we live in. She has had several solo exhibitions, Educated at University of Ulster, Belfast, with a Masters Degree in Fine Art and a first Degree in Fine Art Painting
