The Womb
What is it?
This is a nomadic multifunctional art & cultural venue that offers a space for collaborative conscious art creation.
By placing the artistic expressions in the very core of the Womb, the viewer is invited to reflect on our differences with the freshness of the fetus eyes. For the initiated viewer, ‘You’ and ‘I’ disappear leaving place to the connected and complex being that embraces the most contradicting views of the world.
The Womb Structure
The structure will be made of 5 segments to be created in each of our target locations.
The creation procedure
1. Consultation with selected art institutions in each of the target locations for the commission of the local Womb segment.
2. Once the phase 1 secured, we will launch international competitions for the design of the different Womb segments in partnership with selected univesities in our target locations.
3. Selection of the comptetition winners
4. Creation phase: it takes place simultaneously in the 5 different locations over the period 2010-2012 and it will involve the contribution of PAX Collaborative Circle members.
5. The 5 segments will be united in London in 2012 to constitue the integrality of the Womb installation
