Objectives
Bridging the cultural, racial, religious and socio-economic divides through art culture and science
Creating Womb infrastructure - mobile venues for art and culture
Encouraging art and cultural exchange through collaborative creation
Promoting the integration of the least represented ethnic arts in the global art scene
Structure and Management
PAX shall be managed by a board of directors made up of a minimum number of five members namely, the President, Vice President, Secretary General, Executive Officer and Financial Officer. The founding members shall appoint the members of the Board of Directors. The members of the Board of Directors will be empowered to remove a member of the Board of Directors, accept his/her resignation and appoint new members.
Committee of Patrons
PAX shall have a Committee of Patrons made up of no less than 5 international personalities, who have rendered recognised service to the community and been chosen by the Board of Directors, The President shall be the Chairman of the Committee.
Honorary Members
PAX shall have no more than 35 Honorary Members in any given year who are invited by the Board of Directors and whose membership is renewed annually. Such Honorary Members shall from time to time be selected from both persons, who are willing and able to support the objectives of PAX.
All trustees and subscribers of “PAX Trust” shall be Honorary Members of PAX for as long as they remain in PAX Trust
Members
Membership of PAX is only by invitation of the Board of Directors. Upon proposal by a member of the Board and secondment by another member, the Board of Directors, may invite persons to become members of PAX as determined by the Board from time to time.
Powers and Duties of the Patrons and Honorary Members
Members of the Committee of Patrons shall use their high office to support the projects of PAX and will rake initiatives to enhance the reputation and profile of PAX.
Honorary Members shall render advice and assist the members of the Board of Directors to achieve the objectives of PAX by helping to implement specific suggestions which they make
Powers and Duties of Members of the Board of Directors
The President and Founder
Is the official spokesman and representative of PAX. The President may deputise the Secretary General in any matter. The President may also deputise any other member of the Board to undertake certain tasks.
Chairs meetings of the Boards
Calls for extraordinary meetings of the Board
Signs cheques together with any authorised Director and approves expenditure in general
Presents regular reports and follows up the implementation of decisions taken by the Board.
Attends meetings of the Committee of Patrons as President of PAX
The Vice-President
Represents the President in his absence, and replaces the President if that post becomes vacant until the appointment of a new President.
Authorises expenditure generally.
Assists the President whenever necessary
