Performers: The Department of Drama, Dance and Performance Studies, Hope University
Sarah Black of Liverpool Hope Dance Department curates an evening of dance with the department students.
The Department of Drama, Dance and Performance Studies has benefited from the university’s investment in research–active academic staff, and its work was rated as nationally and internationally significant in the Research Assessment Exercise 2008. The department offers an MA in Contemporary Popular Theatres, and is developing an MA in Performance and Cultural Intervention, as part of its Initiative in Performance and Cultural Intervention. Visiting Professors include multi-award winning playwright, and director of Hull Truck Theatre Company, John Godber, Internationally-renowned theatre and opera director, Patrick Mason, and Tim Prentki, Professor of Theatre Development (University of Winchester).
