Planet Art eXchange (PAX) aims at exploiting the lights shed on the Capital of Culture event to promote the art per se, providing alternatives to the art-speculation by making art more accessible to the public and by engaging artists from different cultures in collaborative art.

The event hopes to engage the art exchange in 3 different ways:

- Artwork Exchange among artists and art lovers in a dedicated marketplace.
- Art practice Exchange among artists from various faith and cultures through collaborative art creation and workshops.
- Ideas Exchange through unplugged conferencing events that involve artists, art lovers and researchers.
