The choir is a collective of exceptional individuals, who under the musical direction of Perri Alleyne-Hughes delivers soulful, rhythmic, organic, sensitive, experimental, alternative and mainstream songs. The members hail from various corners of the globe and the group is based in Liverpool. This a cappella choir reached the grand final of Radio 3’s Choir of the Year competition in 2006 and is available to collaborate with artists to enhance their sound in the studio or live.
The choir reached the last 6 choirs in BBC1’s Last Choir Standing.
Established in 1992, Sense of Sound is a Liverpool based company that specialises in vocal coaching across the UK and internationally. Sense of Sound also has an office in Notting Hill, West London.
It is the quality of Sense of Sound’s vocal training that led to the company receiving a Pioneer for the Nation award from Her Majesty the Queen in 2003 in recognition of its contribution to social change.
