This newletter will keep you informed of the Womb development and its journey in time and space during the next four years, transcending dividers, embracing differences and simulating the DNA code, our unifying factor and the secret of our existence Issue # 1 - 25th July 08

We are hosting our virtual community with Couchsurfer hospitality network. It's safe and allows inter-artist interaction. Join us now The Womb project wins the support of Arts Council of England We are pleased to announce that the Arts Council of England has awarded PAX a grant of 5000 pounds. This is a recognition of the highest art development agency in the UK of the importance of the Womb initiative in promoting peaceful co-existance and tolerence in the UK multicultural society in a time of political turmoil. Despite all its shortcomings, PAX'08 was a successful event. Due to the lack of financial resources for this ambitious project, I was afraid that we can never make it. The expectations of the guest artists was high and due to this many problems have risen and the first week was nightmarish and some of the visiting artists could not cope with the enormity of the pressure and have decided to leave the project but as the time went on, the collaborative circle has focused on the positive aspects of the workshop, the whole atmosphere has changed and the womb started to have a snow ball effect drawing more Liverpudlian artists and the result was beyond our expectations - Not only we have reached our art production targets but most importantly, it has created cohesion and symbiosis evolving into a friendships and mutual appreciation among the circle members despite their differences The Womb creators became the womb dwellers. For them and those who will join us, we have set a dedicated group and blog where artists can find help, assistance and hospitality in their travels. Finally we would like to express our gratitude to the Blackie dierctor and staff for hosting PAX'08, the local artists who opened their doors and hearts to our guest artists, the guest artists who bore the burden of coming to Liverpool and who patiently coped with the organisation shortcoming, to The Art Organisation for providing us with Oceans apart exhibition venues, to our offcial sponsors The Anglo Arab Organisation and the Arts Council of England who believed in our objectives, to our media partner Soura Magazine, and to all those who helped in making PAX'08 a success, Red Dot Exhibition, Tony Knox, Stephen Cain, Ruth Millon, Richard, Musa, Doaa, Liza and Josie.
