PAX, a Transnational Community Building Project
PAX is a transnational community building project that explores the factors that unite humanity. It is developed in phases that take both the participants and the audiences in an initiatic journey through birth of consciousness and the rise of our differences to enlightenment with the aim of transforming their community into more inclusive, tolerant, peaceful and nature loving society, a community where we can celebrate our differences and learn from each other without prejudgement or cultural arrogance.
The components of this timeless journey are products of groups and communities from various backgrounds and continents united by PAX vision.
PAX intends to bridge gaps and switches roles, enabling the ' marginalised' to take to the stage and be the 'preachers' and why not serve as the role models. As our corrupted societies failed to produce a genuine role models, maybe it is time that we start looking for wise and ethical people among the dispossessed and the disenfranchised..
PAX intends to break the walls of ignorance and intolerance through arts, culture and science.
The task is enormous, that's why PAX project has been conceived in a way that takes advantage of what has been already achieved and built on its success both at a local and transnational level.
By using methods similar to parallel processing and information sharing, the complexity of the task can be reduced immensely .
PAX priorities are to address socially divisive issues that represent the ugly face of intolerance and injustice and their roots. It has selected 5 cities from around the world where such divides represent one of their bitter faces and where already some local groups and communities have produced answers and remedies to tackle these issues. PAX objective is to bring these experiences to the light both nationally and transnationally.
In our comprehensive approach, each community member has a role to play - artists and performers, poets and writers, scientists and scholars, community leaders, students and volunteers, all can be part of PAX.
If the PAX project is launched simultaneously in different cities around the world, that is because our divisions have no frontiers, they are themselves the frontiers.
